SEER – Seasonal Energy Efficiency RatioSEER ratings measure the efficiency of equipment. When comparing different air conditioning units, a higher SEER rating indicates a more energy-efficient system.
EER – Energy Efficiency RatioEER measures the energy efficiency of an HVAC unit. The higher the rating, the more efficient it is.
HSPF – Heating Seasonal Performance Factor RatioHSPF is the ratio of the heat output of the system measured over the heating season compared to the electricity used by the system. The higher the HSPF rating of a unit, the more energy efficient it is.
